Follow the instructions supplied with your candle. These tips help you care for TL Candles soy wax candles.
Before lighting
- Place the candle upright on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Use a suitable candle holder or plate.
- Trim the wick to approximately 5–7 mm before lighting, unless the product label specifies otherwise. Only trim or straighten the wick when the flame is out and the wax has cooled.
- Keep the wax pool free of matches, wick trimmings and loose debris.
While the candle is burning
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, drafts and anything that can catch fire.
- Follow the maximum burn time on the product label. For the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface without exceeding that time.
- Do not move the candle, touch the hot container or adjust the wick while it is burning.
- If the flame becomes too high, smokes or flickers repeatedly, extinguish the candle. Let it cool before checking the wick and relighting.
Extinguishing and storage
Use a candle snuffer. Never use water to extinguish a candle. Let the candle and wax cool completely before handling. Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
